1. BPW Bergische Achsen Kommanditgesellschaft (BPW) appreciates your visit to our website and your interest in our company and our products.

2. The protection of your personal data during the processing of your visit to our website is important to us. We strictly adhere to the legal data protection requirements. Personal data are processed in connection with the visit of our web pages only to the extent necessary for the purposes described below.

3. Our websites may contain links to websites of other providers to which this data protection declaration does not apply. BPW has no influence on whether the operators of linked websites comply with the statutory data protection provisions. BPW cannot assume any liability for the content of external websites.

4. In the following you will find information on how we guarantee data protection and what kind of data is collected for what purpose.



1. The protection of your privacy in the processing of personal data and the security of business data is an important concern that we take into account in our business processes.

2. We process personal data collected during your visit to our website confidentially and in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). 



1. Access data is stored in a log file (the server log) each time you visit our website. The data set stored in this way contains the following data, among other things:

-the date, time and request that your browser has sent to the server,

-the amount of data transferred,

-the operating system,

-the website from which you accessed the requested page (IP address),

-the product and version information of the browser used (user agent).

2. BPW does not assign these data to any identifiable persons. The stored data is used to ensure a smooth connection establishment, system security and stability as well as the comfortable use of our web pages and evaluated exclusively for statistical purposes. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about you personally. We use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. Further explanations can be found under points V. to VII. of this data protection declaration.


1. BPW will only process your personal data if this is necessary for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, in particular for the processing of enquiries, (interim) storage of the offers or contracts you have prepared and the technical administration of the range of services on our websites.

2. The following personal data of visitors of our web pages are logged, as far as these have consented or a legal permission facts are present: 

Surname, first name and company e-mail address as well as telephone number and mobile phone number. 

3. This data will be treated confidentially. A disclosure to third parties will only take place if you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. A GDPR, the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. F GDPR is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data, in the event that for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. 1 lit. F GDPR. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. C GDPR, as well as this is legally permissible and required by Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. B GDPR for the processing of contractual relationships with you, in particular in the context of the order, delivery and payment transaction.

4. The personal data collected by us will be deleted when it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, unless there are tax and commercial law storage and documentation obligations (from HGB, AO) or you have consented to further storage in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter A GDPR. In this case, the data will be deleted after expiry of the storage and documentation obligations or revocation of your consent.



1. Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is necessary for the purpose of contract execution, processing or billing or if you have given your prior consent. If BPW is legally or by court order obliged to transfer personal data, we only pass on the relevant data to the state institutions and authorities entitled to receive information in accordance with the statutory regulations.

2. BPW takes security precautions to protect your personal data against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons or against unauthorised disclosure. Our security measures are constantly improved in line with technological developments. We cannot guarantee complete data security for unencrypted communication by e-mail, as is the case here.



1. Our web pages use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our websites is usually transferred to a server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on our websites, your address will be cut back by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of our service provider, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of our website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google with future effect on the website tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout by downloading and installing the browser add-on available there.

2. By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.



On some of our websites we use so-called "session cookies" to facilitate your use of our websites. These are small text files which are only stored on your hard disk for the duration of your visit to our website and are deleted when you close your browser, depending on the settings of your browser program. These cookies do not retrieve any information about you stored on your hard disk and do not affect your PC or your files. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser so that it notifies you when cookies are sent.



1.On our websites, so-called "Social Plugins" (exemplary list: Plugins of the services Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Xing) are used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter F GDPR. Via these plugins, data, including personal data, may be sent to the service providers and used by them if necessary.


2. our websites do not collect any personal data by means of the social plugins or about their use. In order to prevent data being transferred to service providers without the user's knowledge, we use the so-called Shariff solution. This solution ensures that no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the individual social plug-ins when you visit our websites. Only when you click on one of the icons of the social plugins can data be transferred to the service provider and saved there.



1.You have the right,

a. to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR with effect for the future at any time. As a result, we are no longer allowed to continue processing data based on this consent in the future;

b. according to Art. 15 GDPR on free information about the personal data we have stored about you. In particular, you may request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data have been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data, if these have not been collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information on their details;

c. in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to demand without delay the correction of incorrect or complete personal data stored by us if incorrect information should have been stored despite our efforts to ensure data accuracy;

d. to request the deletion of your personal data stored by us in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, unless the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfil a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;

e. pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have filed an objection against the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;

f. pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, current and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another person responsible;

g. to complain to a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or workplace or at our company headquarters.

2. if your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. F GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection without specifying a particular situation.
